Janis Boudreau is a respected Advanced Foot Care Nurse, entrepreneur, and educator whose vision and leadership have significantly shaped the landscape of preventative foot health in Canada. As the founder and owner of the Advanced Foot Care Nurse & Wellness Centre and the AFCN Learning Institute, she has built two nationally recognized organizations rooted in excellence, compassion, and innovation.

With more than two decades of nursing experience, Janis’s clinical journey began in community and acute-care settings, where she quickly identified a critical gap in accessible, high-quality foot care—particularly for seniors, diabetics, and individuals living with chronic conditions. Guided by her belief that proper foot health is essential to overall well-being, she established the Advanced Foot Care Nurse & Wellness Centre, which has grown into one of Ontario’s most comprehensive and 19 trusted foot care nurse providers on her team. Today, the organization proudly operates four clinics, a dedicated home-care division, and maintains over 25 facility contracts across Ontario, delivering essential foot care services to long-term care homes, retirement residences, and community health programs.

Recognizing the need for more skilled clinicians, Janis expanded her impact by founding the AFCN Learning Institute, an educational hub committed to elevating the practice of foot care nursing nationally. Under her leadership, the Institute has evolved into a thriving professional training centre with 20 clinical partner educators across Canada, providing nurses with advanced, evidence-based training and mentorship. Through this nationwide network, Janis has empowered countless nurses to build successful practices and deliver high-quality care in their own communities.
